Should I kill myself? Well, funny you should ask All my money dissolved under the grass Should I kill myself? Well, funny you should ask All my money dissolved under the grass Funny you should ask me Funny you should ask me Funny you should ask me I don't know why Funny you should ask me Funny you should ask me Funny you should ask me I don't know why Act like no God is watching Good and evil all dissolving away I can't see through your eyes 'cause mine are filled with hate Act like no God is watching Good and evil all dissolving away I can't see through your eyes 'cause mine are filled with hate Should I kill myself? Well, funny you should ask All my money dissolved under the grass Should I kill myself? Well, funny you should ask All my money dissolved under the grass Funny you should ask me Funny you should ask me Funny you should ask me I don't know why Funny you should ask me Funny you should ask me Funny you should ask me I don't know why Act like no God is watching Good and evil all dissolving away I can't see through your eyes 'cause mine are filled with hate Act like no God is watching Good and evil all dissolving away I can't see through your eyes 'cause mine are filled with hate See the girl, she's pale and thin Cruel colors dance across the bedroom TV And she dances back to them She dances a lot And she sings She cartwheels through the house Through the fog of Marlborough reds Through the smoke in the narrow halls Into the kitchen where she heats up her dinner In a microwave stained with tomato sauce She tells herself it's blood and she's a vampire At school she says that her father is a healer, but he's not She says her mother died before she was born but she knows that can't be true That's all she knows They don't speak of it Her father is crying at the table now She's never seen him cry before Never heard him whimper He's always so strong He could bend trees and break buildings When he holds her in one hand She can feel him crush her But he never would Not even with his words He has her mother's pink hair dryer He brings it to wet dollar bills The bills look beautiful with rich soil and folded saran wrap Dancing like TV colors She sees the bills turn into a rare bird A stunning rare bird, like it fell out of a rainbow The bird eats her father and then the bird eats the world And all that's left is the girl and the bird And the rainbow that was underneath Falling in every direction, it was always underneath
